La FIA vient de communiquer la nouvelle catégorisation de pilotes en vue de la saison 2014. Des nouveaux pilotes font leur arrivée et d’autres se voient « upgradés » ou « downgradés ».Le changement le plus notable reste pour les pilotes qui évoluent actuellement en GTE-Am. On rappellera que la réglementation a été revue récemment afin d’éviter la présence d’équipages trop professionnels dans une classe instaurée pour faire la part belle au Pro-Am. Deux Silver ou Bronze sont maintenant obligatoires.

Les changements sont dans l’ensemble tous cohérents et peu de pilotes se voient surclassés. On citera tout de même Roman Rusinov, Fred Makowiecki, Jann Mardenborough, Federico Leo, Anton Ladygin ou Rui Aguas. A l’inverse, Tommy Kendall , Kuno Wittmer, Bill Auberlen et Tracy Krohn sont déclassés. On notera que Richie Stanaway passe Gold et non Platinium tout comme Alexander Sims.
