Five teams took part in the two-day testing session at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya which concluded the Winter Series ahead of the 2014 season. In perfect weather and track conditions, the 14 cars of Kessel Racing, AF Corse, Drivex School, GT-PRO by Alméras and SMP Racing Russian Bears used the opportunity to further prepare their cars and test drivers.
At the end of the two days, the SMP Ferrari of Daniel Zampieri-Roman Mavlanov obtained the best time (1.47.303), posted in the morning of Day1, which saw the best times thanks to lower temperatures. The Italian and the Russian were at the very top in almost all sessions, leaving only one (the fifth) to their team-mates Pérez Aicart-Maleev (1.47.391). Former WTCC racer Fernando Monje was third-fastest with the Drivex Porsche shared with his father Ferran, with a time of 1.47.621, posted in the very final minutes of Day2 after a very nice crescendo of performances in his debut with a 911.
In the combined results, the Porsche Alméras is fourth ahead of the Kessel cars of Kemenater-Cressoni and Enjalbert-Sicarti and the AF of Sbirrazuoli-DeLeener.
No special incidents were to be reported, except a broke gearbox on one of the AF cars (Kemenater-Cressoni) which prevented them to take part in Day 2 while Vadim Gitim (Kessel Ferrari) slightly touched the barrier in session 8.
