VSR is pleased to announced that for the opening round of the 2016-17 Asian Le Mans Series the drivers of the number 6 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 will be Kei Cozzolino, Corey Lewis and Adrian Zaugg.  All three drivers come from the Lamborghini Squadra Corse Junior programmes having competed successfully with the Super Trofeo Huracán before stepping up to GT3. Adrian Zaugg is a Lamborghini factory driver.

Vincenzo Sospiri (VSR): this is a big challenge for us as we only started our GT racing programme last season. We planned our strategy with Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Giorgio Sanna at the end of 2014 and I’m very proud that we have been able to grow as planned. I believe we have a competitive driver line-up with fast young drivers and the whole team is very excited about being part of this Championship. I was lucky enough to drive at Le Mans, the most prestigious race in the world, in 1998 and 1999 and it is my dream to one day be back on the grid with my own team.

Giorgio Sanna (Lamborghini Squadra Corse): We’re glad to support VSR in this new challenge with the Huracan GT3 in a professional championship like the Asian LMS. It’s a great opportunity for our young drivers to gain experience of exotic racetracks in important markets for Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

The first round of the Championship will be at Zhuhai, China on 28th – 30th October.
