A perfect blend of experience and youth will be the ace put forward in the International GT Open 2014 by Villorba Corse: Andrea Montermini, the 51-year-old reigning Champion will have Niccolò Schirò, the 20-year-old 2012 European F3 Open Champion as team mate at the wheel of the Ferrari F458 GT2, in this year’s defence of the overall title.

The two Italians made their debut as a Villorba pair at the last round (Barcelona) of the 2013 season, which had seen Schirò doing some races with the Drivex-Porsche.  The duo will obviously have the privilege to sport #1 on the car of the Treviso-based squad.

Raimondo Amadio, Team Principal of Villorba Corse, stated: “The GT Open will be our main focus in the GT2 world once again. We are working hard as the number 1 means defending the title and confirming our excellent achievements. That is why I decided to bet on two drivers who are capable to combine experience and novelty, tradition and future. We are very happy to be again at the start of a championship such as the GT Open and very honoured to be able to do it with a top car like the Ferrari 458 GT2.”
