The sixth and penultimate stage of the 2015 Blancpain Sprint Series season will be held this weekend ( 3rd and 4th ) in the international circuit of Misano, in Italy. In the BMW Team Brazil, all the team is anxious and optimism. Despite not knowing the layout of the racetrack (4,226 km and 16 corners), the drivers hope to maintain the good results and fight for the podium.

Third in the standings, the duo of the BMW Z4 # 77, Valdeno Brito and Átila Abreu, expected to fight for the fifth podium in 2015 and the first victory. In the car # 0, Cacá Bueno and Sérgio Jimenez, who claimed several podiums last year, are still seeking for the first podium this season and are also confident.

In the team championship, the BMW Team Brazil is in second position and with chances of being champion, which further motivates the team led by Antonio Hermann and Washington Bezerra.

Quotes
Átila Abreu, BMW Z4 #77

“I don’t know the circuit, but we’ll use the first practice to learn it. I think we are still fighting for the championship, despite being a little harder after the last race in Portugal but mathematically we are still with chances. It’s difficult to win, but we must keep the goals of achieving podiums and points in these last two races. We must continue the work did in the last rounds, do our best, and an hour the victory will happen and would be a great way to finish the championship. But we are in a situation we have to score and fight to be on the podium. The experience and lessons learned from SPA will help a lot in the qualifying race that will be at the night, perhaps the first win can be at night.”

Valdeno Brito, BMW Z4 #77
“I don’t know the racetrack, but I have seen some onboard cameras and in practice we will try to adapt quickly, though it seems not be a very good racetrack for our car. But obviously we are hopeful of getting a good result and the first win would be very important. I think the team is well prepared.”

Cacá Bueno, BMW Z4 #0
“It’s my first time at this circuit, but I have trained in the simulator and it gives a help, although it is not the same to already know the racetrack. This year we were many times close to the podium, so the expectation keeps the same. We remain confident and believe we can get the podium. Thinking about win is something bigger, but the podium there is a possibility. The car is consistent on Sprint Series.”

Sérgio Jimenez, BMW Z4 #0
“I can fight for the podium, that’s the expectation in the Sprint Series. We (in the car # 0) have bad luck, but I think this weekend it will turn and we will get our podium. Regarding the car’s performance, I have not yet formed an opinion, I will wait for the first practice, since neither the drivers and the team know the racetrack. About having a race at night, you need to change a little the set up, but this year we raced twice at night in the endurance championship and we collected important information to perform well.”
