Excellent weekend for Joel Camathias at Jerez, Spain, on the third round of the International GT Open 2014. Together with Matteo Beretta, at the wheel of the Porsche 911 R entered by  Autorlando Sport, the swiss has conquered the third spot in both races, after a great battle.

The positive outcome of the weekend proves that the package is gaining competitiveness round after round and is already among the best ones. The objective is to continue improving in the forthcoming rounds, as from the next one, at the Hungaroring in two weeks. At the moment, Joel lies fourth in the championship’s standings.

Joel Camathias:

“It has been a very nice weekend indeed. Besides the good results, I enjoyed the driving very much because the races were closely fought and we were racing with the front-runners. We were fast in qualifying too, which proves that we are progressing in the right direction with the set-up of the car. Here, the balance was ok, we could save our tires and have a constant performance throughout the entire races. The team worked perfectly and Matteo, with whom we form an excellent pair, did a great job. At the end, came the two podium finishes, which is always nice. We have an excellent base and the objective now is to continue building on that.”
