Toyota Motor Corporation has agreed with Dome Co., Ltd. to enter negotiations to purchase a wind tunnel.

Toyota is currently developing two Lexus “RC F” race vehicles: the “RC F GT3″ is scheduled to launch next year, while an RC F is also being developed to compete in the GT500 class of the Super GT series through Toyota Technocraft Co., Ltd.

The purchase would contribute significantly to Toyota’s creation of ever-better cars. In addition to enabling Toyota to develop more aerodynamic race vehicles, the wind tunnel would enhance personnel training, and the know-how gained could be applied to the development of mass-production vehicles.
