Total Lubricants (China) Co., Ltd (TLC) and the PEGASUS RACING TEAM TOTAL officially signed an agreement in China, becoming partners to take part in the 2015 24H Le Mans Race on June 13th -14th as well as in the 2015 Shanghai 6H World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 1st November.
The signature ceremony took place in TLC Shanghai Office, the PEGASUS RACING sports marketing manager Mr. Remy BROUARD together with two pilots Ho-pin TUNG and David CHENG who have won 2nd consecutive Drivers’ championships and Constructors’ championships in 2013 and 2014 Asian Le Mans Series came to TLC Shanghai office. The invited media were also invited to on-site, to witness this very moment along with the TLC employee.
On the signature ceremony, Mr. Patrice DEVEMY, managing director of TOTAL Lubricants China mentioned that: “Total Lubricants China is committed to sponsor world-leading car racing, by providing high-end lubricants & professional service, and promoting the racing culture in China. After 2 intensive years of contribution, we eventually won 2 times both the team and pilot titles in 2013 and 2014 Asian Le Mans Series. We also witnessed the 1st full Chinese team to create a new milestone in the world famous 24H Le Mans Race. A great challenge ahead of us in 2015, with the obvious objective of Top 5 in LMP2 at Le Mans, and why not a podium? I am very pleased that we could further extend our cooperation for this event and all the best wishes for the coming 24H Le Mans this June.”
JULIEN SHELL, Team owner of PEGASUS, ‘I am very pleased with the confidence and partnership with Total Lubricants China, we have very good advantages with our drivers Leo Roussel, 19-year-old French pilot to have raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014, assisted by Ho-Pin TUNG and David CHENG both of which are very experienced and efficient. With its pilots, PEGASUS RACING Team Total has really good chance to fight for the classification’.
Afterwards, the PEGASUS RACING sports marketing manager, Mr. Remy BROUARD said: ‘Thank you to Total Lubricants China for its confidence. It is the 3rd year of our cooperation with the project of’ Road of Le Mans’ with Chinese pilots. This year we will race after Le Mans in Shanghai WEC with 3 Chinese pilots. One example of our good cooperation is the team will change his name for PEGASUS RACING TEAM TOTAL’ for Le Mans and Shanghai.’
