Tom Papadopoulos Joins Johnny Mowlem in No. 88 BAR1 Motorsports Prototype Challenge Car for Remainder of TUDOR United Sports Car Season

Former Ferrari Challenge champion and ALMS LMPC driver Tom Papadopoulos is set to join Johnny Mowlem in the No. 88 BAR1 Motorsports PC race car as their Silver driver through the remainder of the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship 2014 season.

Despite sitting out last season, Tom brings a wealth of motorsport experience, both as a team owner and a driver. In addition, Tom has direct experience of the Oreca Chevrolet PC prototype package, having contested several races in the LMPC class in the former American Le Mans Series.

“I’m delighted to be back racing again.” said Tom. “The timing is right and it will be good to dust the helmet off and get back out on the track competitively. The tracks we will race at are fantastic, true driver circuits, so I’m very much looking forward to that.”

Alongside Tom in the role of BAR1′s Pro-driver, will be current European Le Mans Series champion Johnny Mowlem. Johnny will complete the season with Tom.

“I am delighted to join a great team like BAR1 Motorsports,” added Mowlem. “I’m even more delighted to be driving with Tom as my co-driver. He is a fantastic team-mate and driver. We always have a lot of fun together and hopefully we can have success together as well!”

BAR1 Motorsport team owner Brian Alder is very pleased to complete these driver signings.
