Productive weekend for Fjordbach in Malaysia for the championship battle. The Audi R8 LMS Cup grid returned back to the tracks after the summer break with the first of the three meetings which will configure an exciting second half of the season for drivers and fans. The Malaysian race weekend it won’t be less in terms of action and intense battles between drivers with his fantastic track.

One of this main championship actors is Thomas Fjordbach and his team Federal-Mogul Motorparts who landed in Malaysia with clear objectives “Our main goal is be there and put difficult things to our contenders, we want to win this championship and we are going to put all the best for achieve it. Last weekend we were preparing this meeting in GP Denmark with the Audi R8 and the results were positive so we are ready for Sepang”

Thomas Fjordbach was inside the top 7 in both Malaysian races.

Race one was marked by the incident on first lap of series leader Patel. Fjordbach was running in sixth position the most part of the race with a gap that he controlled after him with consistency. He finally ended in P6, a position that gave to the Danish crucial points in overall standings after Patel’s DNF.

Second race had a similar script than the first one, Fjordbach was battling during the race for find his race pace controlling his rivals after and before and finally without finding good sensations, he ended in seventh position.

After Sepang’s weekend, Thomas Fjordbach remains inside the big battle in Audi R8 LMS Cup overall standings which is most open than ever with four drivers separated by only eleven points. That proves the fantastic level of competition and the quality of the drivers at the wheel of the Audi’s race machine.

“This weekend sadly we did not found the perfect car balance in set up. In second free practice session we set the best time and we finish in P1. But then in qualy and races I felt something in the car with the suspension set up that can’t made me feel comfortable on the track. After all, we ended both races inside top 7, and we keep scoring points, which is our goal in each race. We are still on the fight in overall standings and i‘m really looking forward to sit me again in the Audi R8 for next race in Japan“

Next racing compromise of High Class Racing for Thomas Fjordbach in Audi R8 LMS Cup will be the 10 and 11th of October in Fuji for the round 5 of the championship.
