The last chequered flag in the VLN endurance racing championship Nürburgring was shown not even one month ago, yet the preparations for the coming season are already running at full speed. The calendar hereby enjoys highest priority of course so that the fans, drivers and teams of this popular grassroots series will have the opportunity to be perfectly prepared for the year 2016. The provisional calendar has already been released.
Next year, the VLN will again comprise ten events in which the fights for race, class and cup wins as well as for points in the championship will be in the focus. The highlight of the VLN season with its ten races will again be the 6 Hour Race. It will be the seventh round of the year 2016 and provide VLN in XL format for all the spectators at the most beautiful, longest and most demanding race track of the world. The season will run over seven months with the first race to take place on 2nd April and the finale on 22nd October. In between, at least one race is scheduled in each month.
