On November 2nd, Round 6 of Thailand Super Series Class-1 was held at Chang International Circuit in Thailand, and #36 arto-MC86 using the GT300 mother chassis continued its winning streak from the day before by winning the race with Kazuya Oshima at the wheel.

Similarly as the day before, dark clouds closed in as the race time approached on November 2nd, but the rain stayed up in the sky, allowing the race to take place under a dry condition. Starting grid of the Round 6 was decided based on the second best times of the qualifying, which gave Kazuya Oshima the fourth place on the grid. Oshima’s team chose a setting with a flatter rear wing as a countermeasure against the FIA-GT3 cars which are faster on the straightaway.

The race was anticipated to proceed with #25 CAMARO GT3 leading the field, but the car unexpectedly went in to the pit on Lap 2 due to a problem in the power-steering, which consequently forced the car to retire from the race. #36 arto-MC86 managed to overtake #2 Porsche and #44 Lamborghini in the in-field soon after the start, and then got engaged in a close battle with #28 Lamborghini that went ahead at the start. Nonetheless, being overwhelmingly faster in the in-field section, #36 emerged to the top during the mid-stage of the race and marked 1’ 36.287 on Lap 13, which became the best time of the race. From there it managed to work out the traffic without any unsafe moments and continued on at the leading position till the end to win the race back to back from the day before.

Oshima commented on the changes in the handling of the car caused by flattening the rear wing, “The track was spilled with oil almost entirely from early stage of the race, but the front and back balance, handling, brakes, etc. were good and it was easy to drive.”
