As the Italian round of Formula V8 3.5 continues to go underway at Monza, Gérard Neveu, FIA WEC CEO, and Jaime Alguersuari, Executive President in RPM and Series Promoter, met the main actors in the Series Paddock, teams, drivers and representatives, to talk about the 2017 season. After announcing a tie-up between the series and the FIA WEC for next year, the two promoters decided to analyze in depth, and together with the teams, some of the key aspects of a season that will launch Formula V8 globally.
In 2017, Formula V8 3.5 will share six weekends with the WEC championship, all of them being F1 tracks. In addition to the European rounds, there will be three intercontinental outings in Mexico, USA and Bahrain. The round in North America is the latest addition to the calendar, replacing the event that was originally scheduled at Fuji, to keep the championship cost at a reasonable level.
