Team Seattle-The Heart of Racing is ready to rebound a this weekend’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Mobil 1 Sportscar Championship at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, July 11-13.

Ian James (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Mario Farnbacher (Ansbach, Germany) will be looking to rebound this weekend from a tough run at Watkins Glen two weeks ago.  The 2.4-mile, 10-turn undulating natural terrain road course formerly known as Mosport is one of the fastest and most challenging road courses in North America. As a result of their 16th place classification they have dropped from third in GTD points to eighth.

“We had a tough weekend at The Glen,” James said. “As a racing driver you need to really leave those memories at the track and look forward to the next event. I have always enjoyed racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The portion of the track that makes up the complex of turns from the entry of one through Turn Three with a well set-up car is great to drive. With 41 cars on the track it will be busy, but honestly the prototype and GTLM guys have been good to race with all year. The track is fast and needs everyone to work together, but I am looking forward to a great race.”

Once again, Mario Farnbacher will be learning a new circuit.

“It is another new track for me,” Farnbacher said. “I hear that Canadian Tire Motorsports Park is a really fast track with no slow corners and most of the turns are blind. I think that going from Watkins Glen, which is similar in speed will be an easy transition. The weekend in Watkins Glen was totally different than we expected and it was a tough weekend for Ian and myself. We left everything behind us on Sunday evening after the race. And we are 100% focused on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park this weekend. The team has worked hard on the car and they have a lot of experience at this track so I think we will be very competitive this weekend.”

Alex Job, team owner, has the No. 23 Team Seattle-Heart of Racing Porsche ready to go.

“The team had a lot of work to do on the Team Seattle-Heart of Racing Porsche after Watkins Glen,” Job said. “Ian and Mario will be ready for Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this weekend. We fell a few places in the points standings, so every race is critical from here until the end. I have complete faith in Ian and Mario and we will rebound this weekend with a strong finish.”
