The Automobile General Association Macao-China (AAMC), promoter of the inaugural FIA GT World Cup, has appointed Stephane Ratel of the SRO Motorsports Group to coordinate all operational work jointly with AAMC related to the FIA GT World Cup, which will be held from November 19th – 22nd 2015.
SRO has accepted this appointment with enthusiasm, and with the immediate commitment to making the World Cup a success in the context of one of the oldest and most iconic motorsport events in Asia.
With under five months remaining before the event, SRO’s priority will be to work on the manufacturer entries to meet the FIA and AAMC objective of three Pro car entries per manufacturer.
Benjamin Franassovici, the Series Manager of the successful British GT Championship and of the 12 Hours of Sepang for SRO, will work on the team coordination, while Sporting Director Jacquie Groom will be the interface between the FIA and the teams on all sporting matters.
