With the lucky number ‘99’, ROWE RACING will be taking on a new challenge this season: the team from Worms in Germany will compete in all rounds of the Blancpain Endurance Series. The test days at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet on 11 and 12 March mark the start of the new season. The first race takes place one month later at Monza (11 and 12 April). The other rounds will be held at the prestigious circuits of Silverstone, Paul Ricard, Spa and the Nürburgring.
“We are already eagerly anticipating our new task. The Blancpain Endurance Series is a demanding category with very attractive circuits in Europe that we already know from test sessions and other races. We have a background in endurance racing, an area in which we have already had a lot of success. Therefore, we want to find our way quickly and be able to challenge for positions at the front of the field. We will soon announce our driver line-up with which we want to achieve this goal,” ROWE RACING’s team principal Hans-Peter Naundorf is looking ahead to the start in March.
Next to the Blancpain Endurance Series, ROWE RACING will again be competing in the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring in the 2015 season as well. Last year, the team clearly showed its abilities with two victories and a third place. However, Naundorf doesn’t intend to rest on these laurels: “We will continue to work on our performance to ensure that we can be contenders for victory in every race.” The first VLN round at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife will take place on 27 and 28 March. Once again, the Nürburgring 24-hour race, scheduled to take place from 14 till 17 May this year, is also firmly included into the ROWE RACING calendar. Here, the gullwing from the team from Worms is among the favourites after its pair of third-place finishes in 2014 and 2013.
