With a line-up that is twice as strong as originally planned, ROWE RACING will be taking on a new challenge at Monza this weekend (11-12 April, 2015): for the first time, the race team from Worms in Germany will be competing in the Blancpain Endurance Series (BES) and has increased its entry to two SLS AMG GT3s. For the newly added second gullwing with starting number #98, ROWE RACING also presents a new main sponsor: Astana Presidential Club.

Both ROWE RACING cars have a top-class driver line-up: the number #99 gullwing will see Nico Bastian (Frankfurt / GER), Stef Dusseldorp (Winterswijk / NED) and Klaus Graf (Dornhan / GER) behind the wheel. Drivers of the number #98 ASTANA sister car will be Daniel Juncadella (Barcelona / ESP), Indy Dontje (Alkmaar / NED) and Nicolai Sylvest (Jægerspris / DEN). Juncadella is the most experienced of the three drivers and can look back upon a successful career in Formula 3. Dontje is the reigning Rookie Cup winner of the ATS Formula 3 Cup, in which only 17-year-old Sylvest also competed in 2014, preparing himself for this new challenge with his achievements.

ROWE RACING’s team principal Hans-Peter Naundorf: “Anticipation is huge. The entire team is really looking forward to our maiden BES round. Of course, it is really great that we are able to run a second car as newcomers in the series straight away. In doing so, we do not only benefit from logistical synergies, we can also learn much quicker in terms of procedures and set-up of the cars. The mix of experienced endurance racing drivers and ambitious young guns has plenty of potential, as we could clearly see during our two days of testing at Le Castellet last week. I am confident that we will find ourselves up there with the top teams in the series pretty quickly.”
