““ROWE RACING in the centre of the attention,” is the motto for the ADAC GT Masters round at Lausitzring this weekend (May 23 till 25, 2014). The reason: ROWE RACING’s new driver, Jaime Alguersuari. Last week, the team from Worms in Germany announced its spectacular signing of the ex-Formula 1 driver and now, the 24-year-old Spaniard will be making his debut with the SLS AMG GT3. He will be sharing driving duties with Nico Bastian (Germany), who will also have his maiden outing in the ADAC GT Masters. Thus, ROWE RACING will be competing with two gullwing cars in the super sports car league for the first time. Once again, the team’s sister car will be raced by Maro Engel (Monaco) and Jan Seyffarth (Germany).

“Probably like many motorsport fans, we are also looking forward to the weekend with great excitement. With our second car, we have completed our involvement in the ADAC GT Masters. Everybody in the team is highly motivated. Otherwise, getting our second car on the grid in such a short time would have been impossible,” ROWE RACING’s team principal, Hans-Peter Naundorf, explains.

During the season opener at Oschersleben, ROWE RACING’s first outing in the ADAC GT Masters, Maro Engel and Jan Seyffarth scored a fifth and a 13th place right away. At Zandvoort, the duo was classified tenth and 19th. Now, Lausitzring will host the third meeting of the season. As at every event, there will be two races of 60 minutes each with a mandatory driver change around the halfway mark.
