Racing activity resumes also for the Italian GT Championship, this year one of the top series in Europe because the huge number of entrants and the very high level. Joel Camathias will be at the start of the fifth round of the season, which takes place this weekend on the Vallelunga circuit near Rome. As usual in the ACI-promoted series, he will share with country-fellow Mauro Calamia the wheel of the Autorlando Sport Porsche 911R.

The Swiss pair can aim at a good result, given the constant raise of its game since the start of the campaign, despite a very fierce competition.

Joel Camathias:

“With the Italian GT, we are back to serious stuff and real challenges! We know how closely-fought the series is this year and we hope to continue the growing trend that we have experienced so far. At Vallelunga, where was held the season-opener earlier in the year, we should do much better than last May, as we have progressed a lot in the set-up of the car and both Mauro and myself are in perfect form. We are now regularly in the top 5 and not far from the podium, but we know that we will have to be perfect to get good results, because we have in front of us rivals that have very sharp weapons.”
