At the upcoming weekend the team Race Performance and its partner MOMO Megatron is at the start in Portugal, where final round of the European Le Mans Series takes on the demanding Estoril Circuit. The two racing routiniers Michel Frey and Franck Mailleux will be supported by GP3 driver Patric Niederhauser. The Swiss was at the start for the successful team already last year.
“After my victory in the GP3 Series last weekend in Sochi I am highly motivated to be at the start with the Oreca 03 Judd LMP2 of the team Race Performance in Estoril. I was really pleased when team owner Michel Frey asked me to join his crew”, explained Niederhauser and goes on: “Racing with the sports cars is getting really attractive and I am planing to be at the start for the team from Switzerland also in 2015.” Michel Frey is looking confidently toward the final round of the well established European sports car series. “Patric, my team mate from last year, will join us again. It would be a nice confirmation for the team, the mechanics and the engineers, if we could claim a further top result.”
Not only at the 24 Hours of Le Mans the team could convince with a superb performance, also during the other rounds for the championship the Swiss squad proved that it is able to fight at the top. The things for the 2015 season are put on the right track already now. “We are in serious negotiations with different drivers for the next season already. Claiming another podium success would deliver some good arguments for a cooperation”, says Michel Frey.
The final race of the season for the team Race Performance starts on Sunday, October 19th. The start of the for the 4 hours race is scheduled for 13.00pm. “Our goal for Estoril is to have a race without any troubles. We are convinced – and the results so far this year proved it – that in this case we can finish on a top.
