Pinnacle Racing Team (PRT Racing) heads to Japan this weekend for the second event of the 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Endurance Series. Set to take place from December 2 – 4, the team is confident of being one the frontrunners at the 4 Hours of Fuji and challenge for a podium finish.

This will be PRT Racing’s first time to run the Pinbet88-sponsored Ginetta LMP3 on the 4.563 km Fuji Speedway where temperatures are predicted to be below 10°C. The race weekend will also see a larger grid with a 30-car entry list – nine of which are in LMP3.

Once again sharing driving duties with team owner Ate De Jong is Charlie Robertson and Martin Rump. Despite some bad luck at the previous race at Zhuhai, the trio clearly showed that they have the pace to win races. Accompanying PRT Racing on their LMP3 campaign are partners Pinbet88, Motul, Redmount Group, and P1 Racewear.

Ate De Jong, PRT Racing Owner and Driver: “It’s going to be PRT Racing’s first time to visit the circuit with our Ginetta LMP3 and we’re expecting to have good battles on track. We proved last time that we have the pace to fight with the front runners. Now we just need to turn that into a podium finish.”

Charlie Robertson, PRT Racing Driver: “Definitely looking forward to race in Fuji. We know that the Ginetta is one of the fastest cars in LMP3 and as long as the weekend does not throw any surprises, we have a good chance for a podium. It’s also going to be a good experience for me to race in Japan.”

Martin Rump, PRT Racing Driver: “Good to be back with PRT Racing and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the team’s Ginetta. I’m quite happy with my performance in Zhuhai even if it was my first time with the car. I’m positive that I can do better in Fuji and help the team score a good finish.”

The weekend will feature two free practice sessions with Qualifying scheduled on Saturday afternoon. The 4 Hours of Fuji is set to start at 12:15 PM local time on Sunday.
