Joel Camathias took part to the FIA WEC Prologue at the Paul Ricard last weekend. The official pre-season testing session of the World Endurance Championship gave the Swiss driver the opportunity to test the new Porsche 911 RSR which he will drive in 2016 and to work with his new team, KCMG.
It was a positive session that left Joel very confident ahead of the start of the championship, next 16-17 April at Silverstone. He will drive together with Christian Ried and Wolf Henzler.
Joel Camathias:
“It’s nice to be back in the WEC and feel the special atmosphere of the world’s most prestigious endurance series. I was very impressed with the new Porsche 911 RSR, it is really a big step forward with respect to previous versions. I was also very impressed with the professionalism of KCMG and we had a very good first working session. I took the wheel on both Friday and Saturday and felt very comfortable with everything, so I’m satisfied and confident ahead of the start of the season. The level of competition is very high but I think that we can aim at very good results.”
