Jim Pla, third in the Porsche Carrera Cup France last year and Young Talent Award winner, has been forced to interrupt his 2014 season because of the defection of a sponsor. He did not take part in the eleventh and twelfth rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany held on the Nürburgring circuit this past weekend.

Jim is still on very good terms with his team, TECE-MRS Racing. He let them know about his budgetary problems early enough so that they were able to find a replacement driver for the Nürburgring event. In fact, Jim was in the Eifel with Iris Dorr’s and Karsten Molitor’s squad with which he will be testing this week. “I’d like to thank Iris and Karsten for their trust in me. The work I’ve begun with Othmar Welti is starting to bear fruit. We’re still trying to find a solution to finish the 2014 season together; we’re going to do everything possible so I can be at the start in 2015 with MRS Racing.”
