For the Lone Star Le Mans event in Texas, the second-to-last round of the 2014 Tudor United SportsCar Championship, OAK Racing is running a Ligier JS P2, the closed LM P2 sports prototype that emerged from the Onroak Automotive workshop this spring.
For its first qualifying in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship, on the Circuit of The Americas, the Ligier JS P2 powered by the Honda HPD engine and running on Continental tires, signed the pole position in 1:57.809, in front of the Wayne Taylor Racing Corvette DP #10 and the Chip Ganassi Racing Ford EcoBoost Riley #01.
Gustavo Yacaman, who has his first outing this weekend in the Ligier JS P2, and his teammate Alex Brundle, one of the development drivers of this sport-prototype, did a great job with the team during the three practice sessions. They worked and tested various set-ups and signed the best time in the second and the third practice, respectively in 1:58.292 and 1:59.701.
