Belgium was the perfect host for one of the best and ineludible events of the annual racing calendar: The 24 hours of Spa Francorchamps. With a stunning entry list of drivers and machines, this year’s edition of the mythical race was presented as one of the bests.

Knowing that, Anders Fjordbach didn’t want to miss the opportunity that provided him Insight Racing team to form a trident of Danish drivers with Dennis Andersen and Martin Jensen for this event. “I feel ready for this race! After some races in Blancpain this season, the 24h of Nurburgring, 24h of Paul Ricard and the last testing day in Circuit of Catalunya, I definitely don’t want to miss this challenge. Being back at the wheel of the Ferrari of Insight Racing will be, for sure a pleasure for me this weekend. We will be entered in the Pro-Am class in which I have no raced before, but that will add some extra excitement to the race weekend!” explained Fjordbach days before of the 24 hours weekend.

The D-Day of the race started with an extra emotion due to the wet conditions expected in the start of the 2015 edition. Time after, the forecast was accomplished by an active storm who was the protagonist in the first compasses of the race that caused a lot of troubles to some competitors.

The Danish team Andersen-Fjordbach-Jensen, had a good first part of the race avoiding incidents and with a good race pace that sited they in the top positions of Pro-Am. The sensations were good and they were running in some moments in P2 overall.

After some hours, the difficulties of the race started to affect the competitors and the Danish trio with the Ferrari suffered some small issues on the track that made them lose some time in the race, especially a contact with other car that costed them 6 laps.

Far from give up, Andersen-Fjordbach-Jensen, started to increase his race pace and made lap by lap a combination of his best fastest times in wet and dry conditions. The team was gaining confidence and returned to be one of the best consistent teams of the track, but when the night came the bad luck made that Andersen had an incident on the track losing the control of the car. After the crash, the team was not able to continue, not without having experienced good sensations during all the hours on the track, and being proud of having been part of one of the bests 24 hours of the world.

Anders Fjordbach reported: “This weekend was full of action, as you can expect of this incredible race! We had very good moments on the track with Andersen and Jensen and other moments that we miss some luck, like the accident of Dennis during the night, but we fight for it in every lap that we done. It could have been perfect cross the chequered flag but races are like this. I enjoyed a lot the time spent driving this amazing Ferrari of Insight Racing, I have to say thank you to my team mates and to Polar Seafood for having give me the chance to be here this weekend. Now it’s time to prepare the next racing events!”
