Ginetta is delighted to announce Pegasus Racing as the latest team to join the Ginetta G57-P2 programme after confirming intentions to contest the PFV Class of the V de V Championship for 2017.
The former V de V champions make the step up into the G57-P2 for 2017, after witnessing an impressive debut season for the car, which saw Ginetta owner Lawrence Tomlinson take class victory. The team also intend to dovetail their V de V campaign with an entry into the Creventic 24H Proto Series.
Julien Schell; “I’m very proud to be involved in this new and exciting challenge for the team. We are all ready to fight for plenty of podiums in the V de V Championship this season with our Ginetta G57-P2.”
Nick Portlock, Ginetta Commercial Director; “We are delighted to welcome Pegasus Racing to the Ginetta family. They have an incredibly successful history in all levels of motorsport and as previous V de V class winners, we are confident the G57-P2 will put them on the top step once again.”
Founded by Claude and Julien Schell in 1998, the team has forged an illustrated history in motorsport. Starting with single seaters, which included numerous championship titles in their seven year tenure as part of the Formula Ford and Formula Renault series, the team made their Le Mans debut in 2009 with an LMP2.
In recent years, the team has entered six seasons of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), the Shanghai round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the fabled Le Mans 24 Hours no less than four times.
