Pasin Lathouras is pleased to confirm he will have an additional end of season race in Asia added to his racing programme next month – the Sepang 12 Hours, with the 22-year-old Thai driver now set to line up for AF Corse in the region’s most prestigious endurance race behind the wheel of a Ferrari 488 GT3.

This year the Sepang 12 Hours, which is being promoted for a second year by SRO, will take place on 8-10 December and is expected to attract a world-class entry.

Italians Michele Rugolo and Alessandro Pier Guidi will join Pasin in the Ferrari, reuniting a driver line up that has already contested this year’s Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in Europe, the Thai’s debut year in the world’s biggest championship reserved for GT cars.

The Sepang 12 Hours is South East Asia’s premier endurance race and Pasin will be returning to the event having missed the last two editions due to his career refocusing in Europe.

In 2012, at just 18 years of age, Pasin made his debut in the Sepang 12 Hours where he finished a superb fourth – it also marked his first ever race in an FIA GT3 car. He returned to the event in 2013 driving on a roster that included former Scuderia Ferrari F1 star Mika Salo. The crew took over the overall lead during the second hour and continued to run at the front for the bulk of the race until a hub failure plunged them down the order; however a superb fight back over the closing hours saw them reach the podium in third place.

The addition of the Sepang 12 Hours to Pasin’s schedule has created a mini end of season Asian programme for the young Thai, the first time he has had a double date on his ‘home’ continent in three years as his primary recent career focus has been on Europe and North America.

Full details will be announced in due course.

Pasin Lathouras: “It’s really good news to be able to return to the Sepang 12 Hours as this was my first time in an endurance race a few years ago and I love the race and the circuit. I hope I can get some good results to end the year in Macau and Sepang on a high note and I will be working very hard and giving it my full focus. Thanks also to the team and my sponsors for ensuring that these two additional races have come together.”
