On 1 November, the OD Racing team officially launched in Kuala Lumpur. We are Malaysia’s first GT3 motorsport team, and the launch officially signalled our plan to compete on the FIA-sanctioned GT Asia series for the 2015 season.

The exclusive launch ceremony was held at Marble 8 steakhouse on Jalan Binjai. It gave us the opportunity to introduce our team of experts and unveil our fully kitted Lamborghini FL2 GT3. The unveiling was officiated by Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism and Culture, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri Bin Abdul Aziz, who praised the team for doing its part to boost Malaysia’s international profile. He stated, “I would like to see more of such collaborations being made to attract more foreign visitors to Malaysia during the GT3 races at Sepang International Circuit.” YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri was assisted by the managing director or OD Racing, Mr. Bernard Teo.

During the ceremony, local media representatives were also introduced to OD Racing’s drivers. First was Zen Low, an experienced GT driver with an impressive list of finishes in various races. Low is also the owner of OD Racing’s technical partner, Aylezo Motorsport, a sporting administration and technical team with more than 30 years of combined, international racing experience.

Joining Zen Low was up-and-comer, Afiq Yazid. Fresh off his first year in formula-car racing, Yazid has already proven his penchant for speed in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series. He is now ready to make his mark on the GT Asia series.

We at OD Racing would like to thank the Malaysian Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Marble 8 steakhouse and everyone who attended the launch ceremony. Backed by our fans, our team’s expertise and the generous support of our sponsors, we are ready to take the 2015 GT Asia series by storm!
