Saturday March 21st saw the team of VdeV Endurance Series on track at Barcelona for the first round of the 2015 season. As in the past two years Scuderia Bi&Bi fielded a Tatuus Py012 for a new couple of drivers. Vito Rinaldi and Matteo Meneghello.

The first two free practice session, where also Marco Biffis took the wheel for a “system check”, where fo- cused on improving the feeling of the drivers with the car after the long winter break.
Both of the drivers clocked several laps with a conservative setup.

Qualyfiying took place on a wet track, and the Tatuus #50 ended the session in 18th place. Meneghello, who drove the car for the first time under heavy rain, impressed the team with pace and consistency.

The weather kept changing and the start of the race saw mixed conditions. Vito Rinaldi kept a steady pace and was able to catch some positions with any risk. The car setup, better suited for dry conditions and a small electrical glitch slowed the team which crossed the finish line in 19th place.

The race was also an important test for the drivers which completed one of the toughest event of the season without any mistake and gathered precious experience for the next rounds.

On 24-25 and 26th April Scuderia Bi&Bi will once again be on track, this time in Mugello, for the “home race” of the season, where the team will field a second car, a Formula Renault Tatuus which will be driven by Marco Biffis in the three races of the Challenge Formula VdeV.
