James joined the championship-winning JMW Motorsport team 12 months ago and immediately made an impression when he and his team-mate, Rob Bell, took victory at the first race of the year in the team’s Dunlop-backed Ferrari 458 Italia. The pair went on to take a further victory and secured the runner up spot for JMW in the Le Mans Series GTE-Pro Team Championship.

“I’m very happy to be continuing with JMW Motorsport in 2012,” said James. “I had a great year with Jim (McWhirter) and the team in 2011 so I‘m really pleased to be back for a second year. The team has a fantastic family atmosphere and everybody is there for the same reason: to win. I was able to get back behind the wheel at the recent pre-season test at Ricard. The JMW Ferrari is such a great car to drive and I love racing it wheel to wheel with some of the best teams and drivers in the world. I’m really looking forward to the first race getting underway at the end of the month.”
