The first real test of the Portuguese ASM Team with its McLaren MP4-12C happened this week in Paul Ricard circuit, during the official Blancpain Endurance Series tests.

“It was the first serious opportunity we had to test our car and despite it was a good test we were not very competitive, as expected.” referred Antonio Simões, owner of the team.

Notice the fact that Ricardo Bravo, one of the drivers in action, never ran before in this track. The other driver at the test was Karim Ojjeh.

“We have to give time to the drivers and the team to get used to the car, that despite have proven to be very competitive, it’s still far from showing all its potential.” referred Maurício Pinheiro, Team Manager.

ASM is now preparing the first race of the season that will take place in Monza, Italy, on the 15th of April.
