In a short release, Peugeot Sport has announced its participation to the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, which will begin this year. The French brand will race in the 1000km of Silverstone, September 12th, at Petit Le Mans, on October 2nd, and in the final round held in China in November. As two cars of each manufacturer scoring points, it seems likely that two 908 HDi FAP will be on track. « The line-up will be announced later » said Peugeot.

After Audi and Drayson, and before Aston Martin Racing, who has expressed interest, the ILMC has now a new competitor. And a strong one ! After Spa and Le Mans, Audi and Peugeot will fight again on three occasions. A little surprise anyway : Olivier Quesnel, Director of Peugeot Sport, said several times that the Petit Le Mans was not scheduled, for budgetary reasons but also for focusing on the 90X. The situation has apparently changed. Who will complain …
