Creation Autosportif has withdrawn its entry to the 58th Mobil 1 Sebring 12 Hours race in Florida scheduled for this coming weekend, due to non-performance of one of its principal sponsors.

The Winston-Salem (North Carolina USA) based team was due to debut its Creation CA10-Judd P1 chassis for a full season’s racing in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), however that debut looks more likely now to take place later in the season.

Creation’s Team Owner Michael Jankowski commented “It is exceptionally frustrating for Creation to have to postpone the debut of our new CA10; however, it is important to ensure that our efforts are properly funded as that is the only way to have any future in this sport. The new car ought to be competitive and I look forward to seeing it on the track.”

Commercial Manager Andy Woolgar added “It is by no means an ideal situation we find ourselves in and certainly not the way we wanted to kick things off in 2010. It has been difficult to speak out publicly about our plans due to upholding of contractual obligations from our side, but we are remaining positive and forging ahead”.
