Last year, Gigawave Motorsport was the partner of Nissan Motorsports to field a Nissan GT-R in the FIA GT championship. the partnership between the two entities is now cancelled, as NISMO announced it today to Endurance-Info.

Here is the NISMO comment : “Although we had a successful and good relationship with the Gigawave MotorSport for the FIA GT1 testing and development program during 2009, we must regretfully conclude our partnership with GWMS. We thank GWMS for its professionalism and commitment. We will announce the details concerning participating teams as soon as possible.”

Last year, the Nissan GT-R had been entered in four races, at Silverstone, Oberschleben, Spa-Francorchamps and Zolder, with Michael Krumm and Darren Turner behind the wheel of the #35 Nissan GT-R. The best finish was a tenth place in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, Turner and Krumm being partnered by Anthony Davidson.
