The popular and successful Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 car will be well represented at the Baku World Challenge by Aztexnika as the GRT Grasser Racing team have announced an additional car to their usual entry in the FIA GT Series.
Two of the spectacular V10 powered Grasser Lamborghini’s will be roaring through the Baku streets as the team field an additional Gentlemen Trophy class car for fellow Austrian’s Peter Ebner and Ronald Hölling. Both drivers have raced with Grasser in various GT events during this season.
The GRT Grasser Racing squad has enjoyed a very competitive year in the FIA GT Series, where regular drivers in the Pro-Am class, Dominik Baumann and Hari Proczk, are fighting for the driver’s title. After a victory at Zanvoort and six other podium finishes they are in a battle with the HTP Gravity Charouz team to take the Pro-Am class silverware.
Speaking about the FIA GT Series team owner and occasional driver, Gottfried Grasser said: “”It was an easy decision to come to the FIA GT Series. We are committed to racing here. For us it is a unique challenge and one that we will face with a lot of courage and excitement.
Grasser will be among a strong field of FIA GT Series cars at the inaugural Baku World Challenge by Aztexnika over the weekend of 18-20 October. More teams and drivers (including more Lamborghini’s!) are set to be announced over the coming weeks on the build-up to the big event.
