SaReNi United’s outing with the Camaro GT3 in the ADAC GT Masters at the Slovakia Ring was not crowned with success last weekend. The two drivers, Albert von Thurn und Taxis (DEU) and Stefan Rosina (SVK), were unable to unlock the ultimate pace in qualifying and the race, there was no end in sight to the difficulties and so lap times were disappointing. Furthermore, an accident caused the untimely demise in the 100th ADAC GT Masters race on Sunday.
Nevertheless, SaReNi United looks positively into the future: “We are still running on the harder 2012 tyres because we are the only car on the grid using 19 inch wheels and there are still none of the latest tyres currently available. We have been promised the softer 2013 tyre and we will now test them. If the test goes well, which we assume it will, then we’d love to be at Hockenheim for the finale. It’s clear to us that we will not be in a position immediately to fight for the pole and a top position, but we have to be in the thick of the midfield pack.”
The ADAC GT Masters finale is held from September 27-29, 2013 at the Hockenheimring (DEU).
