The German sports car pilot Stefan Mücke will be on his way to Brazil on Wednesday (28th of August) after about three and a half weeks of summer break. The fourth season event of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is scheduled from 30th of August to 1st of September with the six hour race of São Paulo.

After his upbeat win in Silverstone, the fourth place in Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and a third place at the 24 hour race of Le Mans (France), the Aston Martin works driver, who shares the cockpit of the Vantage GTE V8 with his British team colleague Darren Turner, aims for the win in the GTE Pro class on this traditional track.

“The track in São Paulo should be good for the Vantage. Our goal is to score the class win”, the 31 year old said, who is on second position of the GT drivers ranking and the team rankings of the WEC as well together with Darren Turner – with only 4 and 3 points behind the leaders of the rankings. “We aim on the lead at the half time race, because we want to be world champion by the end of this season”, the Berlin said, who already has been the vice champion last year with the team Aston Martin Racing.

“After Le Mans, where we almost scored a class win, we still have unfinished business to do. The task is to get as many points as possible”, Stefan Mücke explained before his third performance in São Paulo. “The track is right in the middle of the town, is very challenging and it is really fun to drive. And it would be even better to get the top position on the podium.”

Right after his return from São Paulo, the Berlin sets forth to Spain, where he will be behind the wheel for an Aston Martin customer team at the 24 hour race in Barcelona. After that the 31 year old will travel to Sepang (Malaysia) from 13th to 15th of September to the fourth season event of the GT Asia Series in the second season half with the races seven and eight.

In this series, Stefan Mücke leads the list of rankings together with his team colleague Frank Yu (Hong Kong) for the Team Craft Racing AMR from Hong Kong in the Vantage GT3 V12.

At last the Berlin was behind the wheel in South Korea. From 2nd to 4th of August he took part at the first season run of the Asian Le Mans Series together with Frank Yu in the Vantage GT3 at the three hour race of Inje (about 130 km afar the capital city Seoul). Stefan Mücke scored the pole position in his class, but discarded in the race on first position due to a technical damage.

The weekend after things turned out more successful, when he attended to the legendary Ford Capri RS of his father at the Oldtimer Grand Prix on the Nürburgring that was the revival of the German racing sport championship of 1972 to 1981.

The chief mechanic Stefan Mücke was very happy about the class win of Peter Mücke, who was behind the wheel for the first time this year and who is the team principal and racing stable owner of the Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport.
