On January 9 till 11, 2014, the Dubai Autodrome will again be the venue for the ninth running of the Dunlop 24H DUBAI. The first international endurance race of the new year for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials is getting more and more popular in the motorsport world. This is clearly shown by the fact that already now, more than 80 teams have signed up to race in Dubai. “We can accommodate up to 90 cars, so we still have some slots available, but teams wanting to race in Dubai need to register quickly,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of Dutch agency CREVENTIC, promoters of the Dunlop 24H DUBAI. Teams entering before September 15 can still benefit from the reduced early entry fee. “It is a busy time for us. First, we have the 24H BARCELONA coming up, September 6 till 8, with a huge grid, and then we continue working flat-out to prepare for Dubai, but it is great to see the interest for our races,” Gerrie Willems says.

Dubai Autodrome is a state-of-the-art facility while Dubai itself is a fantastic destination with its pleasant climate during the European winter time. The race itself, with a good atmosphere in the paddock, the professional and friendly staff and race control from Huub Vermeulen’s DNRT as co-organisers of the race, together with CREVENTIC, and a wide media coverage all over the world, including live broadcasts on Motors TV and Radiolemans.com is becoming more and more popular. “Amateurs, semi-professionals and professional drivers all love this race, and there is room for all of them to enjoy the pleasure of racing at an international level,” says Gerrie Willems. “Of course, we will again have the typical Arab ‘welcome party’ with barbecue in the paddock and the unique rent-a-car rides, enabling drivers to get to know the track and to provide guests, family and friends with a very special experience.”

Tailor-made logistic solutions, reduced entry fee until September 15th

With EIMSKIP again on board as the official logistics partner for the Dunlop 24H DUBAI, CREVENTIC is providing tailor-made solutions for the transport of cars and equipment to Dubai and back from locations all over the world to suit the teams’ needs. Containers will be delivered to the paddock at Dubai Autodrome and placed right behind the pit boxes. Standard transport is included in the entry fee for the race, which is still reduced for early entrants (until September 15). For touring cars up to 2000 cc, the reduced entry fee is € 5,000 including standard transport. For GTs and other competition cars, the fee is € 8,500 including standard transport. After September 15, these fees will be € 1,000 higher each.

An attractive field with 64 cars for 24H BARCELONA

Meanwhile, preparations for CREVENTIC’s other 24-hour race, the 24H BARCELONA, are also well underway. This event will be held from September 6 till 8 at the Circuit de Catalunya. No less than 64 teams have signed up to race here, so there is no doubt that this race will be a huge success, too.
