The Aston Martin AMR-ONE that competed at Le Mans in 2011 has been confirmed to appear at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on the 17th and 18th August. This car was last seen in action at the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hour driven by Darren Turner, Christian Klien and Stefan Mucke.

As the Aston Martin Centenary celebrations gather momentum and the competition and timeline class are confirmed, Mark Constanduros Commercial Manager for the MAC said “To have this car at Shelsley Walsh will be a fantastic moment as it will sit alongside the car it replaced, the DBR1/2, which will also be present.”

“Chassis 001 is the only car in existence and the Midland Automobile Club is delighted that the owner has agreed for the car to make its appearance at Shelsley Walsh where Aston Martin competed many times in the earlier years.”

The AMR-ONE was the last LMP car fielded by Aston Martin Racing before it turned its attention to GT racing where it has become very successful fielding multiple cars as works entries and also supplying a number of customer approved teams.

Generation AMR will be looking after the Aston Martin AMR-ONE throughout the weekend.

Stratstone, one of the UKs largest dealerships and the largest luxury retailer are also supporting the event with support from Aston Martin Lagonda and will be displaying a wide selection of current road cars overlooking the start line, which will also take part in a timeline parade.

The special competition tribute class, supported by The Aston Martin Owners Club, has cars from as early as 1922 right up to the current era, including some iconic Le Mans team cars that once competed at Shelsley Walsh.

Anyone who arrives in an Aston Martin will be directed to the front of the main car park which will be home to one of the largest and varied displays of Aston Martins.
