We expected nice and sunny weather for a change from Silverstone. This was not the case, the first free practice session was held on a wet track. The car switched to slicks for the second session.

Free practices : P10 and P9 for our LMP2 number 4, driven by our three drivers, the English, John Hartshorne and the french drivers Bastien Brière and Thomas Dagoneau.

The result of the qualifying on Saturday morning: P9 – on a dry track.

The start of the race was under the sun, despite the announcement of the rain. The race was a preparation for all our LMP2 team before the Le Mans 24 Hours. The car finishes in P7 without a scratch.

In the ELMS – European Le Mans Series – championship ranking, our team keeps the 5th position.

Kevin Boutsen (engineer): “A successful racing weekend, everything went smoothly for the team and drivers. We finished in 7th place and performance has been improved throughout the weekend…”

Massimo Bottiglieri (engineer): “The drivers have improved from session to session. The car was great! Great job from Boutsen team members ! Let’s go to the Le Mans 24 Hours..”

John Hartshorne (driver) : “In challenging changing weather conditions the team engineered a good car which eventually gave me confidence to go far quicker in the race. Excellent stints by Bastien and Thomas gave us a solid 7th.”

Next meeting : Blancpain Endurance Series – Silverstone : 1st & 2nd June 2013
