The second round of the 2013 International GT Open will bring teams and drivers to the Autodrómo do Algarve, in Portimão, Portugal this coming weekend. Joel Camathias and Mario Cordoni, with whom the Swiss driver shares the wheel of the Ombra Racing Ferrari F458 GT3, will aim at building up on the positive season debut at the Ricard and seeking for a good result in the highly-competitive GTS class. The two races that will also grant points for the Iber GT Championship.

Joël Camathias: “Portimão brings back very nice memories, as it is here where I clinched my second GT Open title in 2009. It is a very technical and challenging track, with a perfect mix of fast and slower sections, and one I like very much. I am confident that, together with Mario and the Ombra team, we can further progress with respect to round 1 two weeks ago, although we are aware of how competitive the championship is this year, with many excellent teams and drivers. Still, this is precisely what makes racing so exciting and why I look forward to being on the track as from Thursday for the private testing sessions!”
