Last weekend Asian Le Mans Series organisers were at Fuji Speedway in Japan for Round 2 of the Super GT and to meet with many of the race teams, drivers and organisers to discuss partnerships as well as Super GT’s inclusion in the Asian Le Mans Series calendar. In addition the series’ Managing Director Mark Thomas met with Fuji Speedway Management to have planning meetings for the 3 Hours of Fuji race.

Asian Le Mans Series will team up with Super GT on the 22nd of September for Round 2 of the 2013 Asian Le Mans Series – 3 Hours of Fuji. With teams from both series competing for points in their respective series’ the organisers are looking forward to what is shaping up to be a spectacle of endurance motorsports in Asia.

After the streamlining of the Asian Le Mans Series at the start of April the organisers have seen a very positive reaction from teams in both the GT and LM Prototype categories. Attending last weekend’s Super GT race gave the organisers an opportunity to further connect with the Asian racing community and promote the new kind of endurance racing series that Asian Le Mans offers. With many great teams racing in Super GT’s GT500 and GT300 that have the ability to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hour race, Asian Le Mans Series is the platform to help these teams elevate, and to raise the profile of motorsports in Asia as a whole.
