On Friday Andrea Ceccato, Filippo Francioni and Andrea Piccini tried out the new car, while on Saturday It was the first time for Mike Hezemans, Matteo Bobbi and Giacomo Piccini, in site of the 1000 km races they will have to do in the LMS championship.
The car, that will not have the colours of the Team and the Sponsors until the arrival of the second car on the 6th of March, ran for two days without any technical problems.
Luca Canni Ferrari, Team owner with Ferdinando Geri, declared: “The aim of this first test was to let the Team familiarize with the new English car.”
“I’m satisfied with this first contact with both, the Drivers and the just delivered Lola; above all, I’m very glad because the drivers have immediately had a good feeling with the car that has shown a good versatility.”
“The drivers, either coming from the Gt or the Sport world, have been particularly impressed and have appreciated the “down force” of this new car with which we will be competitive for the podium for the 2009 season.”
