ADR-Delta will race in this weekend’s 6 Hours of Bahrain, the sixth round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with just its regular team drivers, John Martin and Tor Graves. The duo form the backbone of the ADR-Delta WEC assault, and this race marks the first time the pairing will compete in the championship without the support of a third driver.

It is a challenge that the team are confident they can deliver. Team Manager, Simon Dowson: “We have been looking at doing this for a while but having just two
drivers does not always fit with the fuel strategy for the race. Tor has driven really well in the last couple of events and although we will run with three drivers for Fuji and Shanghai, we feel for Bahrain running with two drivers will work for us. We know that it is possible to win with two drivers and this is still very much our aim. It will be a good challenge for John and Tor as well as the team to make the right strategy.”

The Bahrain International Circuit offers WEC competitors a state- of- the-art facility to race at, and there is much anticipation ahead of the first track action that takes place tomorrow, Thursday. With high air temperatures, conditions will be tough for competitors throughout the practice sessions, and Saturday’s race that is due to finish in the darkness.

Alan Docking, Team Principal: “We are very confident that John and Tor can both do good jobs in this race. The championship is finely balanced at the moment and our aim is to finish the race well and keep the pressure on our rivals.”
