Swiss GT driver Joel Camathias (31) alongside his team-mates – Finnish driver Markus Palttala (35) and Briton pilot Paul Daniels (54) – driving #55 JWA/Avila Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the GT2/GTE-Am Class, in spite of an unlucky race due to first a puncture and later on to a right front wishbone failure, finished 4th in class the 5. Round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
For Joel and his team this is the 5th race finishing in a row scoring points, thanks to the strong driving experience of the drivers and a reliable car.
Joel`s comment: “4th place it’s a good result but this time we deserved more! But I can say that I’m happy we improved a bit our pace! As always thanks for the great effort to my team [JWA/Avila] and my team-mates [Paul Daniels and Markus Palttala]!”.
Next round (6.) of the FIA World Endurance Championship will take place in Barhain on September 29.
