FFSA Court of Appeal rules Villorba’s and Villois’ appeals on Ricard races. The Court of Appeal of the Fédération française du Sport automobile (FFSA) today has issued its decision on the two appeals of Villois Racing and aabar Villorba Corse following the Paul Ricard races, after the hearings held on 11 September in Paris. Both appeals have been rejected.
Consequently, the Villois Aston Martin #12 sees confirmed its exclusion from Race 1 (which it won) for a parc fermé infringement (victory goes to the AF Corse Ferrari of Bruni-Leo), while the aabar Villorba Ferrari #2 sees confirmed a 30″-penalty for the race incident it was involved with the V8 Corvette in Race 2, dropping from 1st to 6th (the win goes to the Manthey Porsche of Holzer-Tandy).
The new overall standings are as follows:
