The Portuguese ASM team has entered a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 for the second running of the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi on December 14.

Karim Ojjeh, younger brother of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 team shareholder Mansour, will drive the car. The Saudi Arabian businessman, who is the director of TAG Finance, won the LMP2 class of the 2011 Le Mans 24 Hours as well as the Le Mans Series. The team is talking with other drivers to share the car with Karim and plans to announce the complete 3-driver line-up soon.

ASM team owner Antonio Simoes, who raced with top British F3 team West Surrey Racing in the 1980s, said: “I’m delighted to have secured an entry for the Gulf 12 Hours during what has been a difficult year for us. The race will be a perfect end to the season and will give us an opportunity to show our strength in long distance events.”
