Some five months prior to the eighth running of the Dunlop 24H DUBAI (January 10-12, 2013), 84 teams have registered already for the first international endurance race of the year for GTs, touring cars and 24H specials. “Never before did we have so many entries at such an early stage already,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of Dutch agency CREVENTIC, together with the DNRT organisers and promoters of the race at the Dubai Autodrome. Teams that are quick can still benefit from the reduced fee for early entries, valid until September 15th. For the 24H BARCELONA (September 7-9), where CREVENTIC is also involved as the promoter, entries are still coming in as well.

Within a few years, the Dunlop 24H DUBAI have become firmly established on the international motor racing calendar. The spectacular environment in the United Arab Emirates, the pleasant climate during the European winter time, the state-of-the-art facilities at the Dubai Autodrome and the extensive media coverage, including broadcasts on Motors TV and Radio Le Mans, are important factors for the success of the event.

“In a field with over 30 different nationalities, the race in Dubai provides both amateurs and (semi-)professionals a great opportunity to test themselves at an international level,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of promoter and initiator CREVENTIC. “With 25 different car brands, there is plenty of variety on the grid, too.” The nice and pleasant atmosphere in Dubai, not least thanks to the Dutch race control and the organisation crew with Huub Vermeulen’s DNRT, is hailed by everyone who has attended the event. This also includes the ‘welcome party’ with an Arab atmosphere in the paddock and the unique ‘rent-a-car-rides’ that allow teams and drivers to get to know the track and also provide a special experience for sponsors that came along.

Tailor-made logistic solutions, reduced entry fee until September 15th

CREVENTIC provides tailor-made solutions for transport of cars and equipment to Dubai. The main port is Rotterdam, but transport is also provided from other locations around the world. For the transport, CREVENTIC is closely working together with the logistics experts from EIMSKIP who have also taken care of this logistical challenge at earlier events. In Dubai, containers are being delivered directly behind the pit boxes at the circuit, an ideal situation for the teams. Until September 15th, registration for the Dunlop 24H DUBAI is even more attractive, with a reduced early entry fee for touring cars up to 2600 cc of € 5,000 including transport. For GTs and other competition cars, the entry fee is € 7,950 including transport. After September 15th, these sums will be increased by € 1,000.

An attractive field with 60 cars for 24H BARCELONA

From September 7th till 9th, 2012, the 24H BARCELONA will be held at the Circuit de Catalunya. CREVENTIC is also closely involved with this event, which already led to a significant increase of the international awareness and coverage last year. Meanwhile, 60 teams from 13 countries have already registered for this race.
