Jan Charouz raced five times in the legendary 24 hours race. He was also the youngest driver in the field in his first two starts. Together with Tomáš Enge and Stefan Mücke he finished fourth in 2009 with Lola-Aston Martin LMP1 of the Czech Aston Martin Eastern Europe team and they were the best petrol powered car.

ADR-Delta team entered Oreca LMP2 prototype with proven Nissan engine to this year 24 hours Le Mans. Jan Charouz, John Martin and Tor Graves comprise driver line-up of the car No. 25.

Crew Charouz, Martin, Graves set fifth fastest LMP2 time in the morning four hours session with a gap 1.336 to the top. Jan Charouz set the best time of the team and it was also fifth best time of any LMP2 driver in the session.

ADR-Delta team set 10th fastest time of the LMP2 category in the afternoon and finished 2.2 seconds behind the fastest LMP2 Prototype Morgan-Nissan. This time it was John Martin who was signed under the quickest lap of the team. Combined lap times from both sessions put the team to the 7th place thanks to Jan Charouz’s time in the morning with 1.5s gap to the first.

Alan Docking, ADR-Delta team principal: “Jan is a very experienced driver and has a very good record of driving here at Le Mans. Everyone at the team is very pleased to welcome him to ADR-DELTA and we are confident that we are going to enjoy a very positive experience.”

Jan Charouz: “I drove a prototype for the first time after a year and I also left more driving time to my team-mates who drive at La Sarthe for the first time. Considering those facts I am happy with my time. Both ADR-Delta team and Oreca-Nissan 03 car have been working very well. It was a test with a good result.”

Antonín Charouz: “I did not hope that Jan would race at Le Mans this year. He has been focusing on testing this year.  When we got offer from ADR-Delta we immediately took it thanks to the support of Škoda Transportation.”
