The first meeting of the new Belgian race championship took place at Circuit Zolder and with well-filled grids and excellent races, one can state that this was a positive première. Frédéric Bouvy and Christian Kelders leave the Limburg circuit as championship leaders. They will be defending their number one position in three weeks time at Spa- Francorchamps, together with Damien Coens who was unavailable this last weekend. With no less than three strong results Didier Grandjean, Pascal Muller and Chris Mattheus have also proved their worth in the two championships.

Rudi Penders (Team Principal): “The most important fact is that we have taken a great start in this brand new championship. There was battle on the track, the entire event was well organised and the atmosphere was enjoyable I believe we are heading for an excellent new era. I truly hope that everyone will continue to work hard at this as the potential is undoubtedly there and the Belgian motorsport definitely needs it. As reigning champions we’re also delighted to be the new leaders. I hope we can continue in this same light.”

Christian Kelders (Porsche 911 GT3 RS #3): “I’m truly satisfied with the weekend, even though I’m aware that we lost out on victory in the endurance race due to having to start from the pit lane. Apart from that everything ran smoothly and the team worked extremely well. It goes without saying that we’ll be fighting it out nail and tooth to defend our leader’s position in both championships in the coming weeks!”

Chris Mattheus (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup #60): “We made constant progress during the weekend and this in a highly professional environment. The car’s set-up was our first concern and we worked hard on that with as outcome an excellent series of strong result allowing us to score well in both championships. With thanks to the team, not forgetting Didier and Pascal for a highly successful weekend!”
